Peter Fear

Peter L. Fear is a Fresno bankruptcy lawyer at Fear Law Group, P.C. In addition to representing parties in bankruptcy, Mr. Fear also serves as a Chapter 7 bankruptcy trustee in the Fresno area and is a past president (2014-2015) of the California Bankruptcy Forum.

In 1997, Mr. Fear worked on the Finance and Taxation Committee of the Florida House of Representatives when the Republican Party won a majority, electing Daniel Webster as the first GOP Speaker since Reconstruction. Speaker Webster was a great example of governing with American principles, while at the same time being a servant and steward of the public trust.

Mr. Fear was admitted to the California Bar in 2000 following his graduation from Oak Brook College of Law and Government Policy. Before entering the legal field, Mr. Fear spent a year working with juvenile delinquents and troubled families in the inner city. Mr. Fear has also worked on civil rights litigation protecting families from unlawful government intrusion.

Mr. Fear served on the Fresno County Republican Central Committee (2005-2009), the Judicial Advisory Committee for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California (2006-2011), and on the Citizens’ Advisory Committee to Study Future Funding for the City of Clovis (2007).

Mr. Fear gains great satisfaction from helping clients get back on their feet and working with clients to solve debt problems. Mr. Fear is married to the former Debra Templeton, and they have seven children. In his rare free time, Mr. Fear enjoys playing basketball and reading.
