Christine Barcus
Christine Barcus is a founding director of the American Principles Institute and a long-time volunteer for conservative and educational causes. She is an elected member of the Fresno County Republican Central Committee, and she served two years on its Executive Committee as Secretary and Vice Chairman. She was the 2014 recipient of the Chairman’s Award for outstanding commitment to the Republican Party.
Christine has been an active philanthropist in her community for more than twenty-five years. She has volunteered countless hours in her children’s schools and for local foundations, serving in a variety of leadership and fundraising positions. She has influenced the lives of many children while coaching high school tennis, swimming and cheer teams.
Christine was born at Fort Knox, Kentucky, but was raised around the world as the daughter of an Army Colonel. She is a graduate of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology. After living in twenty-five different cities, she finally settled in Fresno with her husband of twenty-nine years, where they raised their four children, and are now enjoying their grandchildren.
